When it comes to construction, limestone is commonly used by builders and civil engineers because of its versatility and resilience.
Road Construction: Renowned for its exceptional drainage properties, this gravel type ensures that standing water doesn’t wreak havoc on our roads thus minimising the risk of accidents. It also boasts remarkable stability, capable of handling heavy traffic with ease. Its durability means fewer repairs and maintenance costs in the long run.
Building Construction: Limestone provides a reliable base that supports buildings of all shapes and sizes. A robust foundation is imperative for a safe and secure structure, and limestone gravel delivers just that. Its compact nature can withstand significant loads.
Drainage Solutions: Limestone’s porous nature works wonders in preventing water pooling and soil erosion. Whether it’s surrounding foundations, crafting a French drain, or sprucing up your garden, this gravel helps maintain healthy water flow and a thriving landscape.
